Thank You, Sian Banks: Wishing You Success in Your Next Mission

The Edgewood Lady Panthers organization proudly celebrates one of our own as Sian Banks embarks on an exciting new journey—pursuing a career in the United States military.

While saying goodbye is never easy, this moment is about more than basketball. It’s about recognizing a remarkable young woman who has chosen a path of service, leadership, and sacrifice. We couldn’t be more proud of her.

Throughout her time with the Edgewood Lady Panthers, Sian exemplified everything our program stands for. She brought energy, commitment, and an unwavering competitive spirit every time she stepped onto the court. Whether it was through her leadership, her work ethic, or the way she supported her teammates, Sian helped establish the culture we continue to build as a first-year WABA franchise.

Her impact reached beyond the box score. Sian represented the Lady Panthers with integrity, professionalism, and pride, earning the respect of coaches, teammates, opponents, and our fans. She helped lay the foundation for what we believe will become a lasting legacy for women’s basketball in our community.

Now, Sian is answering a different call—one of service to our nation.

Choosing a military career requires courage, discipline, and selflessness. Those same qualities made Sian such a valuable member of the Edgewood Lady Panthers family, and we have no doubt they will help her succeed in this next chapter of life.

Although we’ll certainly miss seeing her in a Lady Panthers uniform, we know that her future is incredibly bright. The values she displayed on the basketball court will serve her well as she takes on new challenges and opportunities.
